Obama Style Background
Our Obama style
was inspired by artist Shepard Fairey's now famous
poster. It became one of the most widely recognized
symbols of Barack Obama's
presidential campaign. It
consisted of a stylized stencil portrait of Obama in
solid red, beige, gray, and dark
blue, with the word "progress", "hope", or
"change" on the bottom. Fairey's work was acquired by the
Smithsonian Institution for its
National Portrait Gallery.
